Getting to know our team: Gillian Brown has been with Scullion LAW since 2015

I have worked part-time for Scullion LAW since July 2015 starting in the New Business Department.

My role involved speaking to clients and taking their initial instructions, submitting offers and liaising with estate agents.

I have over 24 years’ experience, qualifying as a conveyancing paralegal in 2005.  Nicholas Scullion and other partners, had tried to get me to join the firm since 2007 and I eventually decided to take a leap of faith and I must admit, it has been one of the best decisions I have made.

In February 2017 I was asked to move into the Conveyancing Team to assist with their registration process.  I am now responsible for registering all Title Deeds for the Team and competing LBTT returns to Revenue Scotland.   I also help the team whenever they need me.

The Conveyancing Room is a very busy, fast paced environment which we all thrive on.

I feel Scullion LAW is an extension of my family, having known some of the staff for longer than I care to remember!

I love working for the firm.

The building is stunning and the staff are fun to work along-side.

The people who inspire me the most in the company are Farrah and Charmaine.  Farrah’s work ethic is exemplary and Charmaine is always happy and motivated.

In my spare time, I like to volunteer at my Son’s school and am the Chairperson of his Parent Council.  I am also the Treasurer of my local Playparks Group and have helped create a park in my home village with a second park in the planning stages.

Diana McLeish, Head of Marketing comments ‘Gillian is a kind human being, always smiling, bubbly, happy and going that extra mile for others. As you can tell by the volunteering she does at her son’s school and also demonstrated by zip sliding across the River Clyde earlier 2018 in aid of Alzheimer Scotland, conquering her fear of heights and raising over £1000 in the process. She is a popular, hard working, kind, loving person and is an asset to the team. You will find Gillian running around the office over the festive season covered in tinsel’.
