COMMITTED TO THE COMMUNITY – Scullion LAW.
Scullion LAW exclusively run an annual free Will writing campaign in aid of Marie Curie Scotland. They
are the only law firm in Scotland to support the charity in this way and have done so successfully for
the last 6 years. In recognition of this, the community focused firm, recently won a national award for
their Fundraising Excellence after raising over £230,000 worth of future income for the charity.
Matthew Reed, CEO of Marie Curie UK s comments ‘Over the past 6 years Scullion LAW have helped
more than 1000 people across Scotland to write a Will, raising an incredible amount of future income
for Marie Curie through gifts left. I would like to thank Scullion LAW for extending their free Will
writing offer to Marie Curie colleagues, particularly during this time when their passion, love and care
have never been needed more to allow them to write or update their Wills. On behalf of Marie Curie,
a heartfelt thank you for all you do and congratulations on your well –deserved award’.
Every £20 pays for one hour of vital care for people dying from a terminal illness like cancer,
dementia, MND and Parkinson’s.
Despite a national lockdown, the lawyers successfully prepared over 300 free Wills electronically for
people living across Scotland in return for a small gift or donation to Marie Curie.
This was recently celebrated at a virtual award hosted by Marie Curie, Scotland. (VIDEO).
The Scullion LAW campaign is crucial to the success Marie Curie. The charity recently launched an
urgent appeal looking for help. In addition to this, Scullion LAW extended their services to carers
and NHS workers in Scotland as a special thanks for all they do. Over 100 key workers signed up.
Gordon Lennox Head of the Wills & Future Planning Department at Scullion LAW says ‘We are
delighted to win this fantastic award in recognition of our continued support of Marie Curie over the
last 6 years. Marie Curie are a phenomenal organisation, providing care and support throughout the
community to people with a terminal illness (not limited to cancer). It is a charity close to our hearts’.
